who would of thought that my trusty little asus eeepc 10000HG would be able to run windows 7 perfectly. the only mod i have made to this machine was a bigger hdd, gone from 160gb to 500gb. and then installed windows 7 ultimate and its running perfectly! i did have a slight issue with internet explorer crashing every 20 – 30 seconds constantly even when i wasnt running it. but all i had to do was disable internet explorer and that problem was solved. im sure its still installed, but as far as i can tell the system is running perfectly. and once i was happy with that and all the hardware was working properly, i proceeded to put ubuntu netbook-remix on aswell and again no issues and its running very smooth! i think however i will upgrade the ram from 1gb to whatever the highest it can take, which im assuming is 2gb, but i will investigate that later on. now im at a loss as what i will use it for. i will go and get a prepaid wireless internet sim, as this little number has a built in 3G modem which is the main reason i got this model over the rest of them. but all in all im very impressed how the 1.6 N270 atom processor runs both the operating systems. that being said. i will use it over the next few weeks on and off and see how it all goes. as im off to the gold coast for a 7 day holiday, that will be the great test to see if facebook and the digital camera will play nice together.

January 7th, 2010happy new year to all. and to celebrate, i have just upgraded the site to 2.9.1 .. i didnt bother to read what was new, i just went ahead and did it assuming that it was simply a bug/security fix release. but yeh, its done now…
and now xmas/nye is all over, things have settled down once again. im still activly looking for a good stable fulltime job, which isnt going as well as i had hoped. not all that much on the go that i feel that i would fit into, which is a right shame as im keen as kittens to get back to work! so fingers crossed things will pick up very soon!
i have finaly got around to getting a new subwoofer for my home stereo, kind of overkill but it sounds great! i figure it would be put to better use in the other room for movies on the big telly, but ill get around to that later on as im still enjoying the pumping music while on the computer. and i think thats about it. im on a diet, not drinking any beer for a month to see how that goes. and that was that. im hungry and nothing else to say.,

December 4th, 2009who would of thunk it!? old faithful is back and same as ever. might have some time over the weekend to play around with the site and what not. so im still working on the new site in the background, not gonna put it all up live to see as i tweak.. not very professional of me? but when have i ever been when it comes to my own side projects. stay tuned.
